The Sentry
Oil on Panel
9" x 12"
One night in Massa Mara, Africa, we were sitting around the campfire talking about what it would have been like to go on safari in Africa 100 years ago. All the boxes, journals, tents, crates, cooking utensils – just all the stuff. What was it like to have to wear heavy leather boots and pith helmets. John was describing how a Sentry would stay up all night to protect the camp, in front of the campfire. All of a sudden, a massive warthog leaped out of the bushes running past the campfire. It scared all of us!! What we needed then was The Sentry.
