A blockbuster auction at Sotheby's New York. The event took place in six sessions from October 18th to the 21st, 1989. The auction dispersed the collection of the late John T. Dorrance Jr., founder of Campbell's Soup. ( Andy Warhol). Entire sessions were devoted to Impressionist and modern paintings, American and European paintings, and richly decorated European ceramics and Chinese Export porcelain.
